What am I doing here?

Some people have asked me what I'm doing all the way in Japan when I'm from such a beautiful country.
Well, basically I'm working here as an English teacher, which is exactly what I was doing in Costa Rica. I decided to come to Japan, though, because I wanted to experience life elsewhere.
While Costa Rica is a very peaceful, beautiful country, Japan has also many things to offer. Overall, the quality of life is better and so is my salary. The culture is very different from what I'm used to, but that's actually something good.
I believe there are many things I can learn here, and so far I have learned quite a few. For example, I think I appreciate my family a whole lot more; also, I have met some great people from all over the world.
It is another "world" and there are still many things I have to get used to. But it's a challenge I'm willing to take and, with my wife by my side, it shouldn't be so hard after all.
